Cyber Security Specialist Operational

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a proactive and skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. You’ll play a vital role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure, supporting our mission to help people lead healthier, more independent lives.
This is a hands on role.
Strong technical knowledge of cyber security frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Experience with security controls, GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) processes, and digital tools such as O365 and SharePoint. DSPT and CAF.
Excellent analytical, communication, and mentoring skills.

Lead and Mentor: Guide junior team members and provide cover for senior colleagues, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
Risk \& Compliance: Conduct complex cyber security risk assessments and audits, ensuring our systems meet the highest standards, CAF and DSPT.
Innovate \& Improve: Drive process improvements, implement automation, and continuously evolve our security capabilities.
Strategic Impact: Support the department’s strategic direction, contribute to policy development, and lead on audits and research projects.
Incident Response: Assess and respond to incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats, using your expertise to keep our organisation secure.
Training \& Communication: Deliver specialist training and guidance, making complex information accessible to a wide audience.
Reporting \& Governance: Develop dashboards, metrics, and reports to inform decision\-making and track remediation activities.
