We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as a Cyber Ecosystem Project Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to managing all operational aspects of the University’s involvement in the Digital Innovation Security Hub (DISH) project, ensuring key project milestones are met including, but not restricted to, DiSH 'OKRS', and coordinating successful delivery to interested parties in Cyber Ecosystem programmes and projects, within a dynamic and inclusive environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • liaising on behalf of University of Manchester with other Cyber Ecosystem organisations (including, but not restricted to, GMCA, Manchester City Council, University of Lancaster, University of Salford and Manchester Metropolitan University, Plexal, and Barclays Eagle Labs).

  • Develop and help maintain excellent communication between all members of the research project, researchers, academics and SMEs.

  • Contribute to project strategy and planning.

  • As Project Manager for the UoM involvement with DiSH, the postholder will also work with:

  • The Digital Futures Communications and Engagement Coordinator to develop themes associated with the Centre for Digital Trust and Security.

  • Cyber Ecosystem programmes and projects including, but not restricted to Cyber Focus, Cyber Com, North West Cyber Corridor, and the Centre for Digital Innovation.

  • Reporting to the School Research and Project Manager and Professor Daniel Dresner, Professor of Cyber Security, the Cyber Ecosystem Manager will be responsible for the administration of the project. The post holder will ensure tasks are carried out in a timely manner with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and in accordance with all UoM policies and procedures.

About You

Essential Criteria:

  • The ability to deliver the requirements of complex projects to strict deadlines together with successful outcomes.

  • Experience of budget planning and financial management skills for large projects.

  • Proven experience of coordinating with multiple organisations and ensuring effective communication, knowledge elicitation, sharing of objectives and resources.

  • Have highly developed inter\-personal skills necessary to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of academic staff, external partners and industry stakeholders and to negotiate conflicting views.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Prince II or similar project management qualification.

  • Event management experience.

  • Sensitive to the challenges of inter\-institutional negotiations and possible conflicts of interest.
