Your Impact
As a Customs Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our import and export operations meet all legal and business requirements. You’ll be part of a high\-performing team that supports compliance across multiple regions, with a strong focus on:
- Customs Compliance: Ensure adherence to customs regulations for shipments from Asia Pacific and Latin America to the EU and UK.
- Trade Expertise: Apply your knowledge of free trade agreements, product classification, and customs valuation to support smooth operations.
- Cross\-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments (e.g., procurement, logistics, legal) and external stakeholders (e.g., customs authorities, brokers, carriers) to monitor and optimize product flows.
- Process Improvement: Audit customs documentation flows and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Together with other team members support Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) monitoring, internal audits, and harmonization of standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in customs or trade compliance.
- Strong understanding of customs legislation and operational processes.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex data sets.
- Fluent in English \& Dutch (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems.

- Travel Expectations: Occasional travel within Europe is required to support audits, team collaboration, and engagement with customs authorities and external partners.
