About the Role
This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth and customer obsession. As Customer Success Engineer – Team Lead, you'll take ownership of how our customers experience, adopt, and succeed with the Upsales platform — not just by solving problems, but by building the systems, processes, and team culture that make great support scalable and proactive.
You'll lead a small CS team while staying hands\-on yourself — troubleshooting technical issues, guiding customers toward better solutions, and collaborating closely with Product and Engineering to continuously improve the platform and the customer journey.
What You'll Do
- Handle and resolve complex technical support cases, and lead the team in doing the same with consistency and quality
- Troubleshoot across system logic, data flows, integrations, and APIs
- Build scalable processes, documentation, and self\-service resources
- Work proactively with monitoring and alerting to identify and address issues before they escalate
- Collect and synthesize customer feedback, insights, and patterns to inform product decisions
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve the platform based on real customer needs
- Lead and develop the CS team — building a culture of ownership, curiosity, and genuine care for customer outcomes
- Drive the adoption and development of AI tools within the team — identifying where automation and AI can improve efficiency, response quality, and proactive support, and helping the team build new ways of working around them
- Technical background in systems engineering, computer science, or similar
- Experience in technical support or customer success engineering in a SaaS environment
- Proven experience leading a team
- A systems thinker who builds processes, not just fixes problems
- Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with data
- Genuinely excited about AI and how it can transform customer success
- Experience with SQL, APIs, or JavaScript is a plus
- Fluent in both Swedish and English
