Customer Service / Call Centre Manager
We are a fast\-growing eCommerce business within the automotive aftermarket industry, supplying products across multiple established brands throughout the UK and Europe.
We are looking for an experienced Customer Service / Call Centre Manager to oversee our customer support operation and lead a team of customer service operatives across telephone, email, live chat, and online marketplaces.
This is a hands\-on management role suited to someone who thrives in a fast\-paced environment, can manage people effectively, and understands the importance of delivering excellent customer service whilst maintaining operational performance.
Automotive or motorsport interest is advantageous but not essential.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the day\-to\-day running of the customer service department
- Leading, supporting, and developing a team of customer service operatives
- Ensuring delivery of KPIs across the department
- Monitoring team performance, productivity, and service standards
- Managing staff rotas, holidays, absences, and departmental coverage
- Handling escalated customer issues and complaints
- Ensuring all customer enquiries are handled professionally across telephone, email, live chat, and marketplaces
- Identifying and implementing improvements to processes and workflows
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff
- Working closely with other departments to ensure a smooth customer journey
- Previous experience managing a customer service or call centre team
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to manage workloads and prioritise effectively
- Experience working within a fast\-paced environment
- Competent with Microsoft Office including Excel
- eCommerce experience is advantageous
- Experience with eBay and Amazon is advantageous
- £30,000 – £35,000 DOE
