Customer Service Assistant (Manchester Piccadilly)

Our Client is hiring for a reputed client at Manchester Piccadilly Train Station-an approachable, customer-focused role with a mix of travel support and safety & security responsibilities.
What you'll be doing:
- Welcome and assist passengers with enquiries about train times, platforms, and station facilities
- Provide clear, friendly travel information to help people get where they need to be
- Carry out routine security checks around the station
- Monitor station activity and report any suspicious behaviour or safety concerns
- Support passengers who need accessibility assistance, help with luggage, and provide general guidance
- Handle customer issues or complaints professionally-listening first, then taking appropriate action
- Work closely with station staff and transport authorities to maintain a safe environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills-able to build trust quickly with passengers
- A proactive, responsible approach to safety and security
- Confidence to remain calm and helpful under pressure
- Good physical fitness (long periods on your feet)
- Flexibility to work long shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous customer service or security experience is desirable, but not essential
- Full training provided, including safety and security procedures
