In addition to our butchery and fish processing activities we also manufacture a full range of sausages, burgers, haggis, black pudding and smoked fish at our factory in Linlithgow.
Background
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service \& Reception Assistant to join the E\-Commerce Team at our site in Linlithgow. Reporting to our Head of E\-Commerce you’ll be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our online domestic customers and supporting the smooth running of our reception area. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, professional manner suitable for both digital and in\-person interactions.
Responsibilities
Customer Service (E\-Commerce)
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via email, live chat, telephone and social media
- Manage orders, substitutions, credit/ discount codes and refunds through the e\-commerce platform
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues in coordination with logistic partners
- Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems
- Identify and document recurring customers issues and escalate them to management for further discussion
· Welcome visitors, clients and delivery personnel in a professional and friendly manner
· Handle incoming and outgoing mail deliveries
· Co\-ordinate onsite customer order collections for trade
· Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area
· Provide basic administrative assistance to HR and the wider business such as filing, laminating, data entry, scheduling meetings in the board room and other admin activity
· Providing hospitality for onsite meetings, liaising with staff restaurant for catering requirements
· Any other reasonable task as requested by the Head of E\-commerce or Directors of the business
· Book travel and accommodation for staff as required
Ideal Candidate
· Previous experience in customer service, preferably within an e\-commerce or retail environment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
· Be reliable, committed and well\-organised
· Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic CRM or e\-commerce platforms
· A positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure
· Experience with platforms such as Shopify (desirable but not essential)
· Basic knowledge of social media customer engagement (desirable but not essential)
· Friendly, approachable and professional demeanour
Working Hours
Monday – Friday 8\.30am – 4\.30pm
Please note that this role is based on site, not a hybrid role, and as such own transport is required due to our location in Linlithgow.

Pay: £26,000\.00\-£28,000\.00 per year
