We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer\-focused Customer Service Advisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast\-paced environment and enjoys helping customers while working closely with transport and operations teams.
The Role
As a Customer Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling enquiries relating to pallet deliveries, parcel shipments, same\-day courier services, collections, tracking, and service updates.
You will work closely with our transport, warehouse, and courier teams to ensure customers receive accurate information and a high level of service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling inbound telephone calls, emails, and online enquiries.
- Providing shipment tracking updates and delivery information.
- Booking collections and deliveries for pallets, parcels, and same\-day consignments.
- Investigating and resolving customer queries, delays, and service issues.
- Liaising with drivers, depots, courier partners, and operational teams.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and shipment information.
- Processing customer quotations and service requests.
- Managing customer expectations and ensuring timely communication.
- Supporting key accounts with day\-to\-day service enquiries.
- Escalating issues where necessary and following through to resolution.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
- Confident using IT systems.
- Positive, professional, and customer\-focused attitude.
- Experience within logistics, transport, courier, pallet networks, or parcel distribution.
- Knowledge of UK transport operations and delivery processes.
- Experience using transport management or CRM systems.
