Job Opportunity: Customer Operations Specialist

Location: Market Harborough, UK Contract Type: Full\-time (Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm) \- On site

About Frimpeks Ltd

Frimpeks Ltd is a leading global manufacturer of high\-quality label stock. Operating from our state\-of\-the\-art slitting facility in Market Harborough, we supply essential raw materials to the label conversion sector across the UK. We pride ourselves on precision, reliability, and our commitment to supporting our customers' continued growth.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive Customer Operations Specialist to join our team. This is not a standard "customer service" desk role. We are looking for an individual who will take ownership of the customer journey—acting as the essential link between our production floor, our field\-based sales team, and our clients.

You will be the internal eyes and ears for Frimpeks. Your mission is to ensure our customers are kept ahead of the curve. By monitoring production schedules and supply chain flows, you will anticipate potential challenges and communicate solutions before they become issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Team Partnership: Act as the primary office\-based partner to our field\-based Sales Managers, providing them with the real\-time information they need to effectively manage client relationships whilst out on the road.

  • Proactive Account Management: Manage a portfolio of label converter accounts, taking responsibility for the full order lifecycle from initial inquiry to final delivery.

  • Logistics Management: Oversee the coordination of orders, including both domestic distribution and international export shipments, ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met.

  • Strategic Communication: Head off potential issues by identifying production or supply chain delays early and communicating them to customers with clear, solutions\-focused updates.

  • Expectation Management: Act as an internal advocate for the customer whilst balancing the realities of production lead times and manufacturing capacity.

  • Cross\-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the production and logistics teams to gather real\-time data, ensuring all departments are aligned on customer needs.
What We Are Looking For
  • A Proactive Mindset: You don’t wait for the phone to ring. You monitor the progress of orders and flag potential bottlenecks to the sales team early.

  • Shipping Experience: Ideally, you possess experience in both domestic shipping and export order fulfilment. You understand the complexities of logistics, and while this is a key preference, we are happy to provide training for the right candidate who otherwise demonstrates the right aptitude and fit for our team.

  • Collaborative Spirit: You thrive on working in tandem with field\-based colleagues. You understand that your communication is what allows our sales team to maintain their credibility when visiting clients.

  • Clear Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills. You can translate technical production updates into clear, reassuring information for our customers.

  • Organisational Excellence: You are adept at juggling multiple orders and data points without dropping the ball.

  • Industry Interest: Previous experience in manufacturing, print, packaging, or supply chain coordination is a distinct advantage, though a willingness to learn our specific product range is essential.
Benefits
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

  • Annual Leave: 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.

  • Environment: A professional, supportive, and fast\-paced office environment based in Market Harborough.
