Customer & Project Support
Permanent
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Stoke on Trent £25,898 increasing after probation

Are you organised, customer-focused and someone who genuinely enjoys making things happen?

We're looking for a Customer Support / Project Co-ordinator to join an established and successful team, supporting customers from initial enquiry through to project completion.

This isn't just a standard customer service role. You'll be the person helping to keep projects moving, coordinating installation teams, managing customer requirements and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

If you're someone who likes variety, takes pride in delivering excellent service and can juggle multiple priorities without losing your cool, this could be right up your street.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with customers, installation teams and internal departments, you'll play a key role in ensuring shelving installation projects are delivered efficiently, professionally and to the highest standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supporting existing and potential customer accounts.

  • Coordinating shelving installation activities from scheduling through to completion.

  • Liaising with customers, installation teams and internal departments to ensure site requirements, schedules and health & safety documentation are all in place.

  • Responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries and complaints.

  • Attending internal and external customer meetings and occasional site visits.

  • Processing sales orders and preparing quotations.

  • Managing breakdown enquiries and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.

  • Providing exceptional customer care throughout the entire process.

  • Assisting with telephone cover and ensuring calls are answered promptly.

  • Maintaining accurate records and following company procedures and quality standards.

  • Building positive working relationships across all departments.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and working practices.

No two days are likely to be exactly the same, so a flexible and proactive approach is essential!

Skills & Experience Required

We're looking for someone who is naturally organised, commercially aware and takes pride in delivering an excellent customer experience.

You'll ideally have experience in a customer service, coordination, administration or project support environment, although we're more interested in your approach and attitude than simply ticking boxes.

You will need to be:

  • Confident communicating with customers and colleagues at all levels.

  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.

  • Proactive, reliable and able to use your initiative.

  • A genuine team player who enjoys working collaboratively.

  • Flexible and adaptable when unexpected challenges arise.

  • Confident using IT systems and able to learn new processes quickly.

  • Professional, approachable and committed to doing a job well.

Experience within installations, manufacturing, construction, logistics or a similar project-based environment would be advantageous, but not essential.

The Benefits

  • Hours 9am - 5pm - Monday - Friday

  • Holidays - 33 days per year inc standard bank hols

  • Healthcare cashplan scheme (after successful 6-month probation)

  • Income protection scheme (after 3 years' service)

  • DIS scheme (after 1 years' service)

  • Pension scheme - 5% employee, 3% employer

  • Free parking
