Noatum Maritime Services operates as local agents in ports, acting as the eyes and ears on the ground in over 857 ports across 128 countries. Offering a broad range of Port Services, Commercial Liner Services, Ship Services, and Specialized Services, Noatum Maritime Services supports clients by connecting the dots through their value chain from load port to discharge port.

Our clients include Cargo Owners, Traders, Miners, Oil Majors, Ship Owners, Ship Operators, and Ship Managers, handling a wide array of goods and vessel types such as containers, dry bulk, breakbulk, project cargo, crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and passengers.

Noatum Maritime Services differentiates itself through specific domain knowledge, local relationships, understanding of local nuances and risks, and the ability to leverage the assets and scope of services within their broader ecosystem to provide value\-added solutions to clients.

The Cruises Port Agent is responsible is responsible for the full coordination and execution of cruise vessel calls at assigned ports, acting as the primary liaison between the ship, port authorities, terminal operators and service providers. The role involves ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, facilitating efficient berthing and departure processes, and providing support for crew and passenger needs.

The Cruises Port Agent must manage logistics, handle necessary documentation, and address any issues that arise to ensure a seamless experience for the cruise ship and its passengers. While the ship is in port, the Cruises Port Agent must be present during the call to coordinate all organized services, ensure everything runs smoothly and provide assistance with unforeseen events, emergencies, and last\-minute requests. We are the visible face of the ship while in port.

Key Responsabilities:

  • Coordination and Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the cruise line, port authorities, and service providers. Communicate with shipowners, crew, and port officials to coordinate berthing arrangements, cargo operations, and crew changes. Arrange pilotage services, tugboat assistance, and berthing allocations.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and handle all necessary documentation for customs, immigration, and port authorities. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international maritime regulations.

  • Logistics Management: Coordinate loading and unloading of cargo, provisioning, and refueling of the vessel.

  • Passenger and Crew Support: Provide assistance with immigration and customs formalities for passengers and crew. Arrange medical assistance, transportation, and accommodation as needed.

  • Problem Resolution: Address any issues or emergencies that arise during the port call, including damage claims and insurance matters. Provide assistance with unforeseen events, emergencies, and last\-minute requests.

  • Post\-Departure Activities: Send the required documentation to the Authorities after ship’s departure. Finalize accounts and paperwork after the vessel has sailed. Provide detailed reports to the cruise line on the port call activities and any incidents.

Requisitos mínimos


  • Bachelor's degree or vocational in Tourism, International Trade, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Additional certifications in Port Agency, Maritime Law, or Shipping Operations are considered a plus.

  • Familiarity with port management systems and reporting tools is a plus.

  • 1 \- 2 years of experience in the maritime or shipping industry, preferably in ship attendance or port agency services.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken)

  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

  • Hands\-on experience in coordinating cruise ship operations and passeger services.

  • Familiarity with port procedures, tourism logistics, and stakeholder coordination.

  • Customer Focus: Deliver exceptional service to cruise lines, passengers, and crew.

  • Stress Tolerance: Remain calm and effective under pressure, especially during high\-traffic or emergency situations.

  • Communication Skills: Clear, professional, and effective communication with all stakeholders.

  • Proactivity \& Prioritization: Anticipate needs and act decisively, knowing how to prioritize under pressure.

  • Digital Proficiency: Comfortable using port systems, reporting tools, and digital platforms.
