About the role
We are looking for a dedicated professional for this hands\-on role supporting the Head of Finance in Credit Control. The ideal candidate will be self\-motivated, organised and have relevant previous experience.
Key responsibilities
· Review prospective customer accounts and open or decline as appropriate.
· Set and monitor credit limits of customers.
· Receive and deal with all queries from customers whether in writing, via e\-mail or on telephone.
· Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, including posting receipts and refunds.
· Review and process credit exceeded or held orders, as appropriate advise customers or Sales team where there are issues.
· Monitor customer accounts and pro actively chase for overdue debts.
· Managing pre\-legal process to include corresponding with solicitors.
· Uploading sales invoices to customer portals.
· Assist Head of Finance and other team members as required.

· Effective problem\-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
Experience
You will be an experienced credit controller with a minimum of 2 years experience.
Compensation
£30,000 to £32,000 per annum
Participation in companywide Profit Related Pay (PRP) scheme after first 3 months (average 10\-12% of basic pay over the last 5 years but not guaranteed)

Location: Letchworth (predominantly office based)
Working schedule: Monday to Friday
