Credit Controller

We are looking for a competent Credit Controller to join the Premiere Kitchens Finance Team. This is a hands\-on role responsible for supporting the effective management of customer accounts, collecting overdue debts, resolving queries and ensuring the accurate administration of our ledgers.
Position Summary
As Credit Controller, you will play an important role in protecting cashflow, supporting positive customer relationships and helping the Finance Team provide accurate and timely financial information for the business. You will work closely with colleagues across Premiere Kitchens and report to the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect overdue debts through effective, professional communication with customers.
- Resolve customer account queries in a timely and accurate way.
- Complete daily cash posting and support accurate cash allocation.
- Raise invoices and credit notes as required.
- Open new customer accounts and maintain accurate customer records.
- Monitor customer credit limits and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Support accurate administration of the sales ledger and credit control processes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance and the wider Premiere Kitchens team.
- Complete other finance administration and ad hoc tasks as required.
We are looking for someone who is organised, accurate and confident communicating, primarily by telephone/Teams with customers and colleagues. You will be comfortable working independently, able to manage competing priorities and committed to providing a professional and helpful service.
- Relevant experience in a credit control or similar finance role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
- Previous experience of Sage 500 would be helpful, but is not essential.
- Previous experience of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central would be beneficial.
- Any technical training and qualifications that demonstrate your Credit Control competency and understanding is beneficial
- Previous experience of operating a trade credit insurance policy would be beneficial

Other Information
The role is offered on a part\-time basis, working 24 to 32 hours per week (FTE 40hrs); however, for internal candidates currently working full\-time, we would support this as a full\-time position.
