Credit Controller

At K J Smith Solicitors, our Finance Team plays an important role in supporting the smooth running of the firm and working closely with colleagues across all of our offices.

We are looking for a Credit Controller to join the team in Ascot, taking responsibility for managing outstanding accounts and helping to ensure payments are received in a timely and professional manner. This is a role that requires a confident and proactive approach, excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, particularly when dealing with sensitive or sometimes difficult conversations.

You will work closely with colleagues across the firm as well as communicating directly with clients, so we are looking for someone who can build good working relationships, remain professional and approachable, and balance the need to achieve results with the high standards of client care we expect at KJS.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

· Proactively chasing outstanding invoices by email and telephone

· Processing of payments received as required

· Maintaining detailed records of collection activities and conversations

· Investigating and resolving internal and external debt enquiries

· Creating monthly debtor reports and aged debt records

· Starting legal proceedings if the pre\-legal collection process is unsuccessful

A successful candidate is required to have;

· Excellent client service

· Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage difficult conversations

· Methodical with attention to detail and accuracy

· Knowledge and confidence of using Excel and ability to learn new systems

· A proactive and resilient attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Please note salary quoted is FTE rate and salary will be discussed at interview

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£33,000\.00 per year
