Are you a confident, commercially minded credit professional ready to take full ownership of a busy function? We're looking for an experienced Credit Control Manager to protect our cash flow, manage risk across a diverse customer portfolio, and drive continuous improvement across our credit control operations.

This is a hands\-on role with real breadth, from day\-to\-day collections and invoice finance administration through to credit insurance management and process development. If you thrive in a fast\-paced environment and aren't afraid to make decisions, this is the role for you.

Credit control \& collections Own the full day\-to\-day credit control function, releasing orders, posting receipts, managing customer accounts and statements, resolving disputes, and driving payment collection. You'll produce regular aged debtor reports and payment profile analysis to keep the business on top of its cash position.

Risk \& debt management Monitor and reduce over\-90\-day debt through negotiation, payment plans, or legal action where needed. Proactively manage bounced payments and persistent non\-payers, recommend and monitor credit limits using insurance reports, and raise internal approval forms with full supporting documentation.

Invoice finance \& banking Submit weekly sales and credit note notifications to our Invoice Finance provider, prepare monthly control account reconciliations, and collaborate with Logistics and Customer Services on EDI processes.

Credit insurance Manage the relationship with our credit insurance broker, escalate claims promptly, ensure settlements are received, and handle all policy administration.

Stakeholder \& process ownership Work closely with internal sales teams, support credit note documentation, and take the lead on reviewing and improving our credit control procedures. Where necessary, initiate legal proceedings to recover outstanding debt.

What we're looking for

• Proven credit control experience across a diverse customer portfolio, from major accounts to small independents


• Solid understanding of invoice financing or debt factoring


• Experience working with EDI systems


• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/what\-if scenarios, SUMPRODUCT, concatenate


• Confident communicator at all levels, customers, sales teams and senior leadership


• Familiarity with credit insurance policies and claims processes


• Highly organised, deadline\-driven, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
