Country Manager (Pawnshop)
An international financial holding company with a head office in the
Netherlands and businesses in Poland, Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine is now
expanding in several European countries.
In Spain, the company plans to start from the Valencia region. The holding has
more than 20 years of history and strong operational experience in Europe.
The project is the launch of a network of 5–10 stores in the Valencia region in
the pawnshop / recommerce retail format.
At this stage, we are looking for a strong C\-level manager who will help build
and grow the business in Valencia almost from zero.
This is not a classic corporate role. It is an opportunity to become a key person
in launching a new business direction in Spain.
Main responsibilities:
\-Build and launch a pawnshop / recommerce retail network in Spain;
\-Create the local development strategy;
\-Analyze the market, competitors, and choose strong locations;
\-Launch the first stores and scale the network;
\-Build retail operations and commercial processes;
\-Create store standards and working processes;
\-Manage operational efficiency and P\&L;
\-Control KPIs, profitability, and store performance;
\-Build and develop the local team;
\-Work with landlords, local partners, and suppliers;
\-Cooperate with the international management team of the holding;
\-Take part in the long\-term strategy for scaling the network across Spain.
Main requirements:
\-Experience in pawnshop / recommerce / second\-hand retail / buyback
business;
\-Practical experience in opening and developing retail stores;
\-Experience in managing multi\-store operations or a retail network;
\-Understanding of retail / recommerce business economics;
Strong operational and commercial mindset;
\-Understanding of KPIs, P\&L, profitability, and retail metrics;
\-Experience with cash\-intensive business;
\-Understanding of customer flow, assortment management, and
merchandising;
\-Ability to build processes and scale the business;
\-High level of autonomy and self\-management;
\-Readiness to work hands\-on and take responsibility for results;
\-Spanish — fluent/native;
\-English — minimum B2\.
