Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for a Counterbalance FLT Driver for a Client in the Bridgend area.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to handle materials, load and unload goods, and assist with shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy to support smooth warehouse functions. Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.

Duties

• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse


• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods


• Utilise the warehouse management system to track inventory movements and update records accordingly


• Handle materials carefully, ensuring safe lifting techniques for heavy loads


• Support warehouse organisation by stacking, storing, and retrieving items as required


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations


• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as part of stock management procedures

Skills

• Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse environment


• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control


• Strong materials handling skills with an emphasis on safety during heavy lifting tasks


• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures and documentation processes


• Basic mathematical skills for accurate counting, weighing, and measurements


• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively


• Physical fitness to handle heavy loads and perform prolonged periods of lifting and standing
