We are a growing, ambitious accountancy practice seeking to appoint a Corporate Finance Senior Manager to lead and develop our corporate finance offering.
This is a high\-impact role in a lean business, working directly with the partners to:
- Build a scalable corporate finance function
- Deliver high\-quality advisory work across the full deal lifecycle
- Drive fee growth and originate new opportunities
Key Responsibilities
1\. Deal Execution \& Technical Delivery
Lead and manage corporate finance engagements across:
- Business disposals (trade sales, exit planning)
- Acquisitions and buy\-side advisory
- Management buyouts (MBOs) and Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs)
- Financial due diligence (vendor and buy\-side)
- Business valuations and strategic option reviews
- Debt and equity fundraising
- Financial modelling and valuation analysis
- Preparation of Information Memoranda and reports
- Managing data rooms and due diligence processes
- Liaising with clients, banks, lawyers, and other stakeholders
- Identifying key risks, value drivers, and deal adjustments
- Act as day\-to\-day lead adviser on transactions
- Build strong relationships with owner\-managed businesses
- Translate technical analysis into clear commercial advice
- Manage client expectations, timelines, and deliverables
- Drive origination of new corporate finance work from:
+ Professional introducers (banks, lawyers, IFAs)
- Lead proposals, pitches, and networking activity
- Identify cross\-selling opportunities with accounts, tax, and audit teams
- Manage and mentor junior staff (analysts/managers)
- Review work outputs and maintain quality standards
- Provide technical coaching on:
+ Financial analysis
+ Report writing
- Support recruitment as the team grows
- Work with partners to:
+ Develop service propositions and pricing
+ Improve processes and delivery frameworks
- Contribute to wider firm growth and positioning
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in corporate finance or transaction services
- Strong track record across M\&A / advisory engagements
- Experience managing multiple projects and delivering to deadlines
- Demonstrable client\-facing and stakeholder management experience
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation capability
- Strong understanding of:
+ Financial due diligence
+ Working capital / net debt analysis
- High\-quality report writing and commercial insight
- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) – essential
- Additional corporate finance qualifications advantageous
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build something
- Strong commercial awareness and client focus
- Confident communicator with gravitas at senior level
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ambitious and motivated by long\-term equity participation
- Direct partner exposure – no siloed mid\-tier structure
- Full deal cycle involvement – from origination to completion
- Real influence on strategy and growth
