Corporate Development Manager

<p>The Corporate Development Manager supports Squarespace’s inorganic growth strategy by partnering across the organization to identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition and investment opportunities. The role is responsible for industry analysis, valuation, financial modeling, and due diligence throughout all phases of deal sourcing and execution. This position reports to the Director, Strategy and Corporate Development, and is based in the New York City headquarters on a hybrid schedule (three days per week in office).</p>
<h2><strong>You’ll Get To… </strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Analyze industries, businesses, and new opportunities through strategic, financial and feasibility frameworks, applying sound business judgment and contributing M&A expertise</li>
<li>Lead transaction execution, working across diligence teams and leaders, including product, marketing, finance, legal, people, and others, to develop insights on financial and strategic considerations</li>
<li>Apply rigorous quantitative analyses to acquisitions and other strategic plans, including building financial models and applying valuation methodologies</li>
<li>Work with leadership to help develop our strategy and assess new growth opportunities</li>
<li>Drive administrative processes to further build the corporate development team's competencies and visibility</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>Who We’re Looking For </strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>6+ years of experience through a combination of investment banking, M&A, private equity, or corporate development</li>
<li>Worked with technology companies and SaaS business models with deep understanding of essential software / SaaS business KPIs (e.g., ARR, billings/bookings to revenue conversion, ARPU, LTV/CAC)</li>
<li>Interest in and understanding of Artificial Intelligence, and how AI is being utilized to equip entrepreneurs / SMBs with relevant tools to establish and growth their businesses</li>
<li>Ability to become a trusted partner with our teams</li>
<li>Experience with sharing complex financial analysis succinctly</li>
<li>Deep financial modeling skills</li>
<li>Adept at building executive-facing presentations</li>
<li>Team player, with strategic judgment and attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting, and sometimes ambiguous deal environment</li>
