We’re looking for a Corporate Development Manager to be the analytical engine behind Lunar's growth strategy.
This role is based at our London office (working in office ~3 days per week), with regular travel to the US, including our Mountain View HQ. You'll work directly with our CEO, President, and VP of Finance, and report to the Director of Finance & Corporate Development.

On a given day at Lunar, you'll likely…

Build and own complex financial models - commercial models, product unit economics, and project finance structures that fund our systems in customers' homes.

Evaluate financing structures for our products: understand cash flow waterfalls, customer contracts, residual value, tax equity , and how our partners make money.

Pull apart the unit economics of our hardware and software solutions, and tell us plainly which levers move margin and which don't.

Evaluate strategic partnerships (including potential acquisitions) end-to-end -market sizing, diligence, valuation, and the recommendation that follows.

Prepare board, investor, and lender materials, and present your own work to senior audiences.

Build simple internal tools and dashboards with AI so the whole team can answer recurring questions without waiting on a model.

Own Finance’s relationship with our Markets and Data Science teams, using our proprietary data to help make commercial decision.

What you'll bring

3–6 years in an investment banking project finance team, management consulting, or a strategy or financial modelling role at an energy company.

Hands-on project finance experience: cash waterfalls, sensitivity analysis, cost of capital analysis, term sheets, and lender conversations.

Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build robust models that other people can pick up and follow, and you're comfortable writing macros where they are additive.

Basic knowledge of more advanced modelling and analysis tools (Python or similar) particularly for complex analysis or problems that are less suited to Excel.

Confidence using AI to develop simple internal tools and dashboards, and curiosity about its wider application in the team.

Strong commercial analytics and the ability to take a complex business and get to the unit economics that actually explains it.

Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations and board-level material - and confidently explain and defend your assumptions to senior stakeholders

Willingness to travel frequently and flexibility to work some evening hours to collaborate with colleagues in California

Preferred skills & experience

Experience in residential or distributed energy, utilities, or energy infrastructure preferred.

Experience with leased or subscription-based products (financing structures, residuals, customer lifetime value) a plus
