SJC Partners are working with a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm that is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join its Residential Property team in Cannock.
The firm has a strong reputation across Staffordshire and the wider Midlands and provides a supportive and professional working environment. The Residential Property department has an established client base and a busy flow of work, with experienced Conveyancers and Solicitors working across a broad range of transactions.
Role
The successful candidate will provide secretarial and administrative support to experienced fee earners within the Residential Property department, helping to ensure transactions progress efficiently and clients receive a high level of service.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant with previous exposure to Residential Conveyancing who is confident working within a busy property team.
The firm is looking for someone organised, proactive and comfortable dealing with clients and third parties throughout the conveyancing process.
Responsibilities
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to Conveyancers and Solicitors
- Preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence and forms
- Opening new matters and assisting with client onboarding procedures
- Ordering property searches and relevant documentation
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors
- Providing clients with updates and dealing with general enquiries
- Assisting with exchange and completion requirements
- Supporting post-completion administration
- Managing diaries, appointments and key dates
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files and case management records
- Handling telephone calls and correspondence on behalf of fee earners
- Providing general administrative support across the Residential Property department
