A well-established and friendly law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join its Residential Property Department in Shrewsbury.

The role involves providing comprehensive conveyancing support, assisting with the smooth progression of residential property transactions from instruction through to post-completion.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide a full range of administrative and conveyancing support to the Residential Property team, assisting with the progression of files and ensuring efficient transaction handling.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking initial client instructions

  • Assisting clients with the completion of forms and documentation

  • Submitting property searches

  • Preparing and submitting applications for registration of title

  • Preparing documents for online submission

  • Assisting with completions and post-completion formalities

  • Providing general administrative support to fee earners within the department

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have either prior experience in residential conveyancing support or a strong background in high-level legal or administrative work.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Good IT skills and confidence using case management systems
