1\. Prime Responsibility

· Management of scaffolders, yard operatives and all daily operations as directed by the Manging Director.

· Liaise with Clients and other contractors.

· Ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme and within budget.

· Retain clients.

· Assist in building a new client database with the estimating department.

2\. Key Tasks

· Ensure all scaffolders are competent and certified for their specific projects.

· Assist in maintaining the staff database, ensuring adequate labour resource is planned in to carry out the works.

· Ensure that equipment and materials are available and in good order.

· Ensure that any equipment and small plants are maintained.

· Identify and plan future resource recruitment opportunities to maintain customer supply base and meet growing or reducing business demands.

· Ensure that work carried out by Lea Scaffolding staff complies with the clients requirements and Lea Scaffolding company standards.

· Carry out inspections of work, completing inspection reports and identifying remedial actions.

· Follow up remedial actions and recommend improvements.

3\. General Duties

· Carry out duties as and when requested.

· Assist the Directors in achieving the company’s aims and objectives as set out in the business review meetings.

· Oversee all operational aspects of projects, taking ownership once the project is secured, to allow the estimator to focus solely on securing new works and achieve their specific monthly targets.

· Chase and target new works/clients as identified within the business review meetings, with a focus on hitting the agreed revenue forecast each month and assist in commercial forward planning.

· Attend internal handover of the jobs with the estimator, taking sole operational responsibility of the job once the contract is secured.

· Attend client prestart meetings.

· Organise/plan/allocate labour and resources to specific jobs.

· Identify training requirements as and when required to ensure these are planned in prior to actually needing them on site.

· Monitor/review of all apprentices, carrying out monthly appraisals and manage the apprentership programme alongside the directors.

· Monitor labour performance, giving verbal/written warning if and when required, with all warnings notified to Karen to log on personnel files.

· Carry out disciplinary meeting.

· Prepare RAMs, Designs briefs, TG20:21 Compliance sheets for specified jobs, prior to commencing.

· Organise all specific materials/plant for specified jobs.

· Oversee the daily duties of the supervisors.

· Planning of plant/consumables, ensuring we have adequate stock for specific projects, to prevent reactive ordering, which costs time and money.

· Ensure all weekly inspections are recorded on the inspection board on the required day, overseeing supervisors to ensure no inspections are missed.

· Attend, host contribute to the weekly 6\-week look ahead Labour and Resource Planning Meeting, allocating labour, chargehands, vehicles, materials etc.

· Ensure projects are handed over and complete on a daily basis to the client, copies emails to the office for reference.

· Monitor operatives daily, ensuring they are working in accordance with their RAMS, SG4:22 and any other site specific safety requirements.

· Liaise/communicate with supervisors \& yard foreman to ensure the smooth day to day running of projects.

· Manage job costings on every project.

· Monitor sites for surplus materials, arranging collection and return to yard ASAP.

· Attend final account meeting, to close out each project.

· Ensure all extras are picked up on each project and agreed with the QS, prior to commencing works.

· Assist with preparation of monthly applications for invoicing jobs.

· Carry out toolbox talks on a weekly basis.

· Monitor performance of each project, making sure it is completed within budget.

· Focus on client retention, once each project is complete, try to negotiate/communicate their next project.

Pay: £45,000\.00\-£55,000\.00 per year
