Contracts Manager

Reporting To: Roofing Director

We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Contracts Manager to take ownership of the successful delivery of client contracts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to a high standard, on programme and within budget.

This is a key operational role, acting as the main point of contact for clients and providing leadership to Site Managers, Project Managers, TLOs, operatives, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the effective management and delivery of client contracts, ensuring agreed KPIs, quality standards, programmes and contractual requirements are achieved.

  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.

  • Lead and support operational teams, ensuring resources, labour and subcontractors are effectively planned and managed.

  • Monitor contract performance, costs, risks and opportunities, taking corrective action where required.

  • Work closely with the Commercial Manager and wider commercial team to ensure contracts are delivered profitably and contractual entitlements are protected.

  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with health and safety, quality and environmental requirements, maintaining a strong zero-tolerance approach to health and safety.

  • Develop programmes of work, resource plans and operational reports, providing clear performance information to senior management.

  • Lead client and operational performance meetings and ensure actions are effectively communicated and followed through.

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation and business development.

  • Coach and develop team members, promoting accountability, collaboration and high performance.

  • Ensure the team consistently delivers on commitments made to clients and maintains a strong focus on customer and resident satisfaction.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong experience in contract or operational management, ideally within a construction, housing, maintenance, facilities or related environment.

You will be:

  • Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, costs and contract performance.

  • An excellent communicator and relationship builder with strong client-facing skills.

  • A confident leader who can motivate, coach and develop teams.

  • Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and make effective decisions under pressure.

  • Proactive in identifying risks, opportunities and improvements.

  • Committed to high standards of health and safety, quality and customer service.

  • Comfortable working collaboratively with commercial, operational and senior management teams.

What We Offer:
  • Salary: £50,000

  • Holidays: 25 days plus statutory bank holidays

  • Company pension and team events

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to take a key leadership role within a growing organisation, with the opportunity to make a real impact on contract performance, client relationships and team development.

If you are an experienced Contracts Manager looking for your next challenge and have the leadership, commercial and operational skills to deliver successful contracts, we would love to hear from you.
