The commercial flooring industry is full of middlemen who overpromise and under\-deliver. Fitters Flooring was founded to cut through that. We deal directly, work with integrity and put the expertise of the installer at the front of every contract.
We fit safety flooring, cap and cove, LVT, carpets, stair nosings and full subfloor prep for care homes, schools and nurseries, healthcare, veterinary clinics, commercial kitchens and offices. We believe a floor is part of a business's brand, and we believe the experience of getting one should be stress\-free.

The role

You'll run live jobs across the business: planning the week, leading our fitters and subcontractors, and making sure every client gets the experience we promise them.

Key responsibilities
- Planning and programming: schedule and sequence live jobs, labour and materials so every site is ready before the fitters arrive.
- Leading the team: be the first point of contact for our directly employed fitters and subcontractors. Brief, support, hold to standard.
- Site readiness: carry out surveys, moisture readings, access checks and progress checks on other trades so there are no surprises on the day.
- Health and safety: produce and manage RAMS, COSHH and PPE requirements and toolbox talks, and keep our SafeContractor standards high.
- Client and contractor liaison: be the day\-to\-day contact for site managers, facilities managers and clients on live jobs, and keep everyone informed before they have to ask.
- Quality and handover: handle snagging, sign\-off and handover to the Delighted standard, and own any issue through to resolution.
- Protecting the margin: spot changes on site as they happen, and record variations with photos and dayworks the same day so they can be priced.

- Proven experience running commercial flooring jobs as a contracts manager, project manager, supervisor or senior fitter stepping up
- Strong working knowledge of safety vinyl (cap and cove), LVT, carpet tiles, nosings and subfloor preparation
- Confident managing RAMS and site H\&S
- SMSTS or SSSTS (or willing to get it, which we'll support)
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Organised, digitally comfortable and a clear communicator
