Service Contract Manager (Custody Healthcare)

Cleveland & Durham (Hybrid – 2–3 days WFH)

£50,000 – £55,000 per annum (pro rata)

3-Month Locum Contract (with strong potential to extend or go permanent)

We are working with a leading healthcare provider to recruit an experienced Service Contract Manager to oversee custody healthcare services across Cleveland and Durham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong operational leader with a background in custody or prison healthcare to take ownership of a high-profile contract, driving performance, patient safety, and service excellence.

The Role

You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a custody healthcare contract, ensuring services consistently meet and exceed contractual and clinical KPIs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting clinical and operational teams to deliver safe, effective care

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for the client, building strong stakeholder relationships

  • Driving operational performance, workforce planning, and rota fill targets

  • Overseeing governance, compliance, and regulatory standards (e.g. CQC, safeguarding)

  • Producing performance insights and leading continuous improvement initiatives

  • Managing service delivery, financial performance, and efficiency plans

  • Creating a high-performance, values-led culture across teams

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in custody, prison, or secure healthcare settings(essential)

  • Strong background in contract and operational management within healthcare

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex environments

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • A track record of delivering service improvement and performance outcomes

  • A proactive, resilient leadership style with the ability to drive change
