WWF EU is commissioning a desk\-based study analysing the benefits of traceability in supply chains of forest\-risk commodities.
The consultant will produce a technical report and factsheets evaluating the benefits of traceability for different stakeholders in supply chains of forest risk commodities covered by the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The assignment involves (full Terms of Reference in the attached document):
- Identifying and analysing case studies of implemented traceability initiatives from governments, sectors or companies
- Proposing and applying a framework to characterise benefits across geographies and supply chains
- Conducting literature reviews and semi\-structured interviews with diverse stakeholders (producers, businesses, governments, communities, experts) to collect insights
- Delivering a technical report and factsheets for different audiences
- Expertise in sustainable supply chains, ideally EUDR and traceability, with a focus on economic, social and governance dimensions
- Proven qualitative research skills: literature review, semi\-structured interviews, case study design
- Experience engaging credibly with diverse stakeholder groups
- Existing networks across relevant supply chains and key producing geographies
- Professional proficiency in additional languages beyond English is a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc.)
