As an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, you’ll join a friendly, well\-established multidisciplinary team based in Maidenhead and Windsor. We are a CQC ‘Outstanding’ rated community and we’re proud to be one of the first to achieve Advanced Foundation Trust (AFT) status – a new national mark of excellence from NHS England.
A £15,000 Recruitment and Retention premium is available for external applicants and £8,000 Relocation allowance where applicable.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist you will:
Provide consultant\-level clinical leadership within the WAM Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), working with locality psychiatry colleagues to deliver high\-quality, patient\-centred care
Deliver direct and consultative psychiatric input into assessment, formulation, and ongoing patient management, supporting recovery\-focused outcomes
Contribute to initial psychiatric assessments via the Common Point of Entry (CPE), supporting triage and referral management from primary care
Undertake Mental Health Act duties, including community\-based assessments, and act as Responsible Clinician for a small number of patients on CTO
Lead within the Care Programme Approach (CPA), ensuring patients’ psychiatric, physical health, and social needs are effectively addressed
Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical, service and pathway development discussions
Engage with GPs and primary care colleagues, supporting coordinated, integrated and seamless care pathways
Participate in CMHT referral meetings and provide prescribing input, including for clozapine and depot clinics, ensuring safe and effective medication management.
This is a full\-time role, with three days based in our Maidenhead office. Flexible options can be discussed.

The “must haves” for this role:
Hold full GMC registration with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
Be included on the GMC Specialist Register for Psychiatry, or be within six months of achieving CCT
Hold Approved Clinician status, or be able to obtain this within three months of appointment
Be approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act or be able to achieve this within three months of appointment.
