The Operations Practice (OPS) Area is one of BCG's largest functional practices. We help our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. BCG’s expertise in Operations covers the following areas \- supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, service operations, cost efficiency, operational transformation, research \& product development, program and project management, all with a strong digital and analytics overlay.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities (What You'll Do):
As a Consultant in our Operations practice, you will support leading organizations in addressing complex operational and strategic challenges across the end\-to\-end supply chain.
Working in close collaboration with clients and experienced consulting teams, you will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency, improve performance, and support long\-term business transformation.
You will work across industries on high\-impact projects, interacting with senior stakeholders and contributing to both strategic recommendations and implementation efforts.
You will:
- Work on strategic and operational transformation projects across topics such as supply chain optimization, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, planning, inventory management, and operational excellence
- Combine deep business understanding with analytical problem solving to develop innovative and pragmatic solutions for clients
- Support the design and implementation of operational strategies that improve efficiency, service levels, cost performance, and resilience
- Gather, structure, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to address complex business challenges
- Translate analyses into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for both internal teams and client stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with client teams to understand their context, priorities, and organizational dynamics, ensuring tailored and sustainable solutions
- Own workstreams or project modules independently, ensuring high\-quality delivery and adapting quickly to changing client needs
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and executive\-level communications for senior stakeholders
- Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering collaboration, development, and high performance within project teams
- Contribute to client development activities, business proposals, and the continued growth of the Operations \& Supply Chain practice
- Build strong and lasting relationships with clients through trusted advisory and day\-to\-day collaboration
Qualification (What You'll Bring):
We are looking for exceptional talent with strong analytical capabilities, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for solving complex operational challenges.
You would typically have:
- 3–7 years of relevant professional experience in Operations and Supply Chain, gained in consulting firms and/or industry environments
- Experience across one or more of the following areas:
- + Supply Chain Strategy
+ Procurement \& Sourcing
+ Logistics \& Distribution
+ Demand \& Supply Planning
+ Inventory Optimization
+ Operational Excellence / Lean Transformation
+ Digital Operations \& Supply Chain Transformation
- Proven experience managing projects, stakeholders, and cross\-functional teams in complex environments
- Strong problem\-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous challenges into actionable solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and client teams
- Strong academic track record from a leading university or business school
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive attitude, and ability to thrive in fast\-paced and demanding environments
- Team\-oriented approach with demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken
- Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to travel frequently based on project needs
- Knowledge of and practical exposure to AI technologies and tools, with a particular focus on their application in Operations and Supply Chain environments (e.g., process optimization, planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics use cases).

Compensation Information
Total compensation for this role includes base salary and a benefits package described below. Our Reward Philosophy is to take a holistic approach to offer a comprehensive package which includes market\-competitive base salary and benefits that can support both physical and mental health. Our philosophy drives our actions and aims at being competitive, fair and easy for employees to understand. We are committed to ensuring that BCG is the best place for you to thrive and grow.
The annual base salary for this role is at least EUR 87\.000\. Employees may also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus.
