Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR \- Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non\-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
This 4\-PA Consultant post offers an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to become an integral member of the Restorative Dentistry team at the Edinburgh Dental Institute (EDI). The appointee will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high standards of clinical care, teaching, and research in Endodontics.
The postholder will be expected to play a role in developing an efficient and effective Endodontic service within the EDI to best meet the needs of patients within available resources.
The postholder will be expected to work closely with colleagues to deliver excellence in clinical care, teaching and research and be involved in quality improvement activity and training of Specialist trainees and dental core trainees (DCTs).
