Consultant Colorectal Surgeon
An opportunity has arisen within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) for a substantive Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Wythenshawe Hospital. The successful candidate will be a core member of the General Surgery department and Colorectal Surgery service. The post is for a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon, with a specialist interest in IBD.
The unit provides elective and emergency general surgery, benign upper gastrointestinal, general and sub\-specialist colorectal surgery. Minimally Invasive Surgery is well established within our surgical service.
This post will maintain the efficiency and capacity of the Directorate of General Surgery and may include day case operating at Trafford General Hospital. Emergency and Elective General surgical services are undergoing integration across MFT. The post holder will be expected to accommodate their sessions to fit into the new service.
