Consultant Clinical Oncologist - Neuro-Oncology and TYA Oncology
This is a substantive full\-time consultant post in Clinical Oncology specialising in Neuro\-oncology with a focus on Teenage \& Young Adult (TYA) Neuro\-oncology. The post holder will join the existing neuro\-oncology team providing leadership and contributing to ongoing research, education and service development at The Royal Marsden. The post holder will be expected to develop the neuro\-oncology TYA service and will be fully integrated with the adult neuro\-oncology team working at the RM Sutton campus. Specifically, the new consultant will work closely with the existing clinical oncology consultants to co\-ordinate care for TYA neuro\-oncology patients and cross cover.
As a senior member of the medical team, the postholder will provide clinical leadership and support for the effective development of the TYA Neuro\-oncology service and attend the relevant operational meetings.
Deliver high\-quality clinical care to patients with CNS tumours, with dedicated input into the TYA Neuro\-oncology Service.
Participate in weekly multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to treatment planning and decision\-making.
Provide outpatient and inpatient care at The Royal Marsden with cross\-site responsibilities as required.
