Accountabilities:
- Participate in the complete application lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Contribute to the development and scalability of payment systems supporting the full transaction lifecycle, fraud prevention initiatives, and compliance requirements.
- Integrate and maintain multiple payment methods and collaborate with external payment service providers.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to define and deliver user-centric solutions.
- Ensure high platform reliability, performance, and scalability through strong engineering and operational practices.
- Share technical expertise with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to architectural and technical discussions.
- Collaborate within an agile engineering squad while taking ownership of backend services and payment-related features.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience within fast-growing or product-focused environments with strong engineering standards.
- Strong proficiency in Java and hands-on experience with frameworks and tools such as Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Practical experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring/observability solutions such as Datadog.
- Solid understanding of service-oriented architectures and the ability to apply suitable architectural patterns when needed.
- Experience building scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend systems in production environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Team-oriented mindset, humility, curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
