Conference Producer, Retail Supply Chain

The Opportunity:

The Hive Network is hiring a Conference Producer to take ownership of content, speakers and community engagement for our Supply Chain portfolio within The Retail Hive.

This is a hybrid role for someone who thrives at the intersection of content, community, and commercial success. It would be ideal for a conference producer who wants to take their relationship building to the next level, moving beyond agenda production alone to become a trusted voice within a senior retail supply chain community.

You will research the market, speak regularly with senior industry leaders, identify the topics that matter, and turn those insights into high value events, agendas and discussion formats. You will work closely with senior supply chain, logistics, operations and retail leaders from some of the UK’s best known businesses, including Amazon, John Lewis, Tesco, Sky, JD, Primark, Boots and Next.

Our model is built around year round community engagement. That means the strongest content does not come from desk research alone. It comes from regular conversations with senior members, understanding their current challenges, building trusted relationships, and using those insights to shape relevant, commercially strong events.

You will take responsibility for the production of one of the portfolio’s key Supply Chain events, including researching market themes, conducting member interviews, shaping agenda content, securing speakers, writing discussion frameworks, and helping to deliver a high quality experience for members and partners.

This is a strong opportunity for a commercially minded producer who wants more ownership, more direct market exposure, and a visible role within a fast growing B2B events and insights business.

What you’ll be doing:

Event production and content development

  • Take responsibility for the production of one of the portfolio’s key Supply Chain events

  • Conduct member interviews and research to understand market priorities, trends, and challenges

  • Write agenda copy, discussion frameworks, and supporting event content

  • Identify, secure, and manage relevant speakers and contributors

  • Help ensure events are timely, commercially strong, and genuinely valuable for members and partners
Relationship management and community growth
  • Take ownership of our Supply Chain member community, building strong relationships with senior leaders across the retail sector

  • Identify and engage relevant individuals to grow the network

  • Build trust based relationships through regular outreach, account management, and in person engagement

  • Create curated member experiences across digital sessions, breakfasts, dinners, bespoke meetings, and larger in person events

  • Confirm attendance for annual events and partner led meetings

  • Act as a visible host and representative of the community at events
Commercial delivery and cross functional collaboration
  • Work to KPIs and targets linked to community growth and engagement

  • Spot opportunities to strengthen the community and improve event formats

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations to ensure strong delivery across all touchpoints

  • Contribute to high quality business intelligence products and curated member experiences
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in a client facing role such as relationship management, account management, membership, delegate sales, conference production, or a similar commercial environment

  • Confidence in outreach and regular phone based relationship building

  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility quickly

  • Commercial awareness and experience of working towards targets or KPIs

  • Ability to turn conversations and research into strong event topics and agenda content

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High levels of organisation, ownership, and follow through

  • Curiosity about retail, supply chain, and the issues shaping the market

  • A proactive, resilient approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities at pace
