Complex Care Assistant NIGHTS: two or three 12 hour nights per week: 8pm to 8am

Job Overview
We are seeking a locally based, compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high\-quality care to our client within his own home. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference whilst developing your skills. The role involves joining an existing experienced team supporting a gentleman within his own home who has complex care needs due to spinal injury with all training being provided to the succesfull applicant.

Duties

• Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming


• Supporting with transfers, ensuring safety at all times


• Helping with meal preparation.


• Assisting with medication administration following prescribed care plans


• Providing companionship and emotional support.


• Maintaining accurate records of care provided.


• Communicating effectively with the client, his family, and healthcare professionals


• Driving the client's own vehicle to provide access to the commnuinty as required.


• Following health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff

Qualifications

• Valid United Kingdom driving licence is required for client's vehicle insurance purposes


• Previous experience providing home care and/or complex care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates


• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with diverse individuals


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team


• A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting others' wellbeing
