We're looking for dedicated, compassionate and motivated Complex Care Assistants to join our specialist team supporting young people with complex health needs. About the Role

You'll provide specialist one\-to\-one support to young people aged 16–22 living within the community.

The individuals you support:

  • Are registered blind and use wheelchairs

  • Have complex physical health and communication needs

  • Lead active and fulfilling lives with the right support

  • Require compassionate, skilled and consistent care tailored to their individual needs
You'll work as part of a dedicated team delivering high\-quality care that promotes dignity, independence, safety and choice.

For those working waking nights, your role will focus on maintaining a safe environment, providing reassurance, monitoring wellbeing and responding promptly to any overnight needs.

Your Responsibilities

As a Complex Care Assistant, you'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering high\-quality, person\-centred complex care

  • Supporting with personal care and moving \& handling

  • Assisting with mobility and daily living activities

  • Supporting communication and emotional wellbeing

  • Monitoring health and reporting any changes or concerns

  • Maintaining accurate care documentation and handovers

  • Working closely with families, healthcare professionals and colleagues

  • Promoting independence, dignity and choice in everything you do
Full clinical training will be provided for any specialist interventions required.

Previous experience in care is desirable, but if you have the right values and attitude, we'll provide all the specialist training you need.

Requirements

  • Ideally six months' experience in care

  • Full UK driving licence desirable (adapted vehicles available)

  • Flexibility to work days or waking nights, including some weekends

  • Willingness to complete specialist complex care training
