Companion Helper – Flexible Self-Employed Role

Are you a warm, reliable person who loves spending time with older adults? HapyNow is looking for friendly Helpers in Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds.

HapyNow is a platform that connects older adults with verified local Helpers for companionship, social outings and everyday support. This is not a care role, no medical or personal care involved.

What you'll do:

• Provide companionship and conversation


• Accompany clients on social outings, walks, cafés, restaurants, theatre, cinemas, museums, trips and more


• Help with light home tasks such as tidying, sorting post or tech support


• Offer pet support and lifestyle assistance

• Set your own hourly rate: £20–£28/hr


• Choose your own hours and availability


• Work as much or as little as you like


• No agency fees


• Be part of a warm, purpose\-driven community

• Valid First Aid certificate (Emergency First Aid at Work or equivalent)


• Public Liability Insurance


• Enhanced DBS check (since January 2026, self\-employed individuals can apply independently — fee £49\.50 plus admin)


• Identity verification (KYC)
