We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and person\-centred Social Care workerto support two gentlemen living in Johnstown, Co. Kildare, to lead fulfilling, meaningful, and active lives within their local community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support two gentlemen who enjoy active lifestyles and value meaningful social connections, community involvement, and opportunities to pursue their individual interests.
One gentleman is a passionate sports enthusiast who enjoys attending live sporting events and following his favourite teams. The other has a strong interest in community engagement and is keen to become involved in local groups and activities, including chess clubs, Tidy Towns initiatives, and other community\-based opportunities.
You will play an important role in supporting both individuals to develop their independence, build confidence, maintain social connections, and participate fully in community life.
What You'll Be Doing

- Supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
- Facilitating access to community activities, clubs, and social opportunities.
- Building positive and respectful relationships based on trust and person\-centred support.
- Supporting attendance at sporting events, recreational activities, and community groups.
- Encouraging and promoting independence, choice, and self\-determination.
- Supporting participation in swimming and other leisure activities.
- Assisting with planning and facilitating meaningful daily activities.
- Promoting social inclusion and active citizenship.
- Contributing to a positive, welcoming, and supportive home environment.

Essential Requirements

- QQI Level 7 qualification in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting people with disabilities or in a person\-centred support role.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Strong communication and relationship\-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider support team.
