Communication Support worker

Reed FE are seeking a skilled Communication Support Worker to join a great team in North London. This role is crucial for providing BSL (British Sign Language) support to students, ensuring they have the necessary communication assistance to thrive in their educational environment.

Communication Support Worker

• Hourly Rate: £25 - £40 (depending on qualifications and experience)


• Location: North London


• Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week Tues, Thurs and Fri)


• Start: Asap – ongoing temp

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide BSL interpretation services to students in an education setting


• Work closely with educational staff to ensure all communication needs of students are met effectively.


• Support students during various educational activities and classes.


• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity towards students' needs and personal information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in British Sign Language (BSL) to level 3 and above


• Experience in a similar role, providing communication support in an educational setting.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Commitment to enhancing the educational experience of students with communication needs.
