About the Role:

The postholder will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of adult social care in Cheshire West and Chester where you will be responsible for:

  • Outcomes\-based Commissioning – developing and implementing commissioning projects from inception to mobilisation that addresses the needs of young people and adults with mental health challenges. There will be a focus on prevention, early intervention, and community\-led support.

  • Market Shaping – working with a range of providers to develop sustainable and high\-quality care and support that delivers person\-centred services.

  • Performance Management – monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of commissioned services, ensuring value for money and continuous improvement.

  • Stakeholder Engagement – building strong and lasting relationships with service users, carers, providers, and other key stakeholders.

  • Data Analysis – utilising data and intelligence to inform commissioning decisions and identify areas for improvement.
About You:
  • You will have a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the public sector, in particular those with mental health support needs.

  • You will possess experience in commissioning within a Social Care or Health environment.

  • You will have excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • You will be able to analyse data and use it to inform effective decision\-making.

  • You will be committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.

  • You will have a degree level or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience commensurate with this role within Social Care, Health, Commissioning or related field.

  • You will have a flexible and personal resilience approach and the ability to confidently manage competing priorities.

  • You must hold a valid driving license.
