We’re located at the heart of the Scottish borders, and offer a welcoming place to relax, unwind and magically shut off from the pressures of modern life. We’ve been welcoming guests for over 100 years and have many stories to tell. Today, we are home to 132 bedrooms, 3 eateries, 6 function spaces, a leisure club, spa and an array of outdoor spaces. We are also home to the wonderful 1881 Gin Distillery and Gin School which offers a unique experience for its visitors.
About the role
At Peebles Hydro, the emphasis for food is on quality. We know that freshness and quality are important to our guests, so we work hard to include the best local produce and seasonal ingredients. Our chefs are flexible in their approach, so you could be producing food for our Restaurant and Lounge, as well as large functions. This means you’ll have a varied workload.

What we need from you
You’ll work closely with our chefs, gaining hands\-on experience in a fast\-paced environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and a passion for great food are a must. If you’re ready to take your first steps as a chef, we’d love to have you on board! You’ll be flexible as hours of work are variable to meet the needs of the business.
