Commercial Vehicle Night Shift Workshop Foreman
Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking to step into a leadership role, or an established Foreman seeking a stable, rewarding night shift position?
We are a leading commercial vehicle workshop, and we are looking for a skilled Night Shift HGV Workshop Foreman to lead our night maintenance team.
In this role, you will balance hands\-on technical work with team supervision, ensuring our fleet of heavy goods vehicles and trailers are maintained to the highest safety and VOSA standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise the Night Team: Manage a team of HGV Technicians, assigning workloads and ensuring high productivity.
· Hands\-on Maintenance: Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing HGVs, trailers, and light commercial vehicles.
· Compliance \& Safety: Ensure all repairs comply with VOSA standards and company health and safety regulations.
· Quality Control: Sign off on completed work, ensuring MOT preparation and inspections are flawless.
· Breakdown Coordination: Oversee any urgent breakdown repairs to minimize vehicle downtime.
What We Are Looking For
· Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or City \& Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
· Experience: Proven experience working on commercial vehicles (HGVs, trailers, units). Previous supervisory or chargehand experience is highly desirable.
· License: A full UK driving license is required. An HGV Class 1 (C\+E) or Class 2 (C) license is a massive advantage.
· Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate a night shift team, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
