We are seeking a Real Estate Finance Solicitor with 3-5 years' PQE to join our growing Commercial Property team. This role offers the chance to work on high-quality transactions for banks, financial institutions, alternative lenders, and borrowers. It is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise, build client relationships, and progress towards a senior role with potential leadership responsibilities as the team expands.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a varied and increasingly complex caseload of real estate finance matters, including development finance, bridging facilities, investment acquisitions, property refinancing, and secured lending transactions.


• Advise a broad range of clients, including banks, financial institutions, alternative lenders, investors, and borrowers on all aspects of real estate finance and secured lending.


• Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, security documentation, intercreditor arrangements, and ancillary finance documents.


• Take responsibility for transaction management from instruction through to completion, coordinating with clients, lenders, counterparties, and internal teams to ensure an efficient and commercially focused service.


• Conduct and oversee due diligence exercises, identifying and mitigating risk while delivering practical, solutions-oriented advice.


• Support the development of client relationships and play an active role in business development initiatives, networking activities, and identifying opportunities for growth within the team.


• Work closely with senior members of the department on larger and more complex transactions, while developing greater autonomy and technical expertise.


• Contribute to the mentoring and supervision of junior solicitors, trainees, and support staff, with the opportunity to take on increasing leadership responsibilities as the team grows.


• Aspire to progress into a senior position within the team, with a clear pathway to leading and developing a small sub-team of up to two junior solicitors over time.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of PQE in Real Estate, with a particular focus on finance and secured lending.


• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.


• Knowledge of secured lending processes, including LMA standards, bank standard documentation, and complex security suites.


• A client-focused approach, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.


• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively.


• Interest in business development and networking within the financial and real estate industries.
