Commercial Manager
About the Role
We are working with a growing financial services organisation to recruit an experienced Commercial Manager to support their continued international expansion, with a particular focus on Mainland China.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven professional who is fluent in both English and Mandarin and has a strong network and experience of working across China and the UK, particularly within financial services.
You will play a key role in driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and strengthening relationships across both the UK and China markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver commercial and business development strategies to support growth
- Identify and secure new business opportunities and partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners across the UK and Mainland China
- Lead business negotiations with Chinese organisations and stakeholders
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of contacts within Mainland China
- Drive B2B relationship development and networking opportunities
- Prepare commercial proposals, reports, and forecasts
- Monitor performance against revenue and profitability targets
We are looking for a commercially astute individual who brings both international experience and strong relationship-building skills:
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (essential)
- Proven experience in financial services (B2B environment)
- Demonstrable experience in:
- Developing and maintaining business relationships
- Negotiating with Chinese businesses
- Commercial deal-making and partnership development
- An existing network within Mainland China (highly desirable)
- Strong business acumen and ability to identify growth opportunities
- Confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel to China for face-to-face business activity
- Salary of £48,000 – £52,000 (DOE)

- Future international travel to China required
