Supply & Relationship Manager (Commercial Manager)
Rate: £338.10 per day PAYE / £529.54 per day Umbrella
Location: Hybrid Working (Palestra Office on Wednesdays, Victoria House Office one additional day, remaining days from home)
Contract: 6 months, subject to change
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

We are seeking an experienced Supply & Relationship Manager to join our Commercial function within the People Services category. This role is crucial for managing supplier relationships, overseeing policy and risk, and engaging stakeholders to ensure that commercial arrangements deliver value, performance, and compliance. The focus is on post-award relationship management, supplier performance, and achieving social value outcomes.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Review existing policies and frameworks, recommending necessary changes.


• Present updates to internal and external partners.


• Initiate and manage trials across multiple partner platforms.


• Conduct regular review meetings to monitor progress and performance.


• Assess risks and identify mitigations across suppliers and contracts.


• Produce and present clear, structured reports to senior stakeholders.

• Support for sustainability and social value.


• Ethical sourcing and responsible procurement.


• Supplier and relationship management.


• Risk identification and management.


• Contract and procurement operations with a post-award focus.


• Senior stakeholder engagement and governance.


• Writing and presenting social value questions, assessments, and reports.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.


• Strong presentation skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint.


• Confidence in engaging with senior and multi-level stakeholders.


• Ability to influence and challenge constructively.

• Proven public sector commercial or procurement experience.


• Strong background in supplier relationship management (SRM).


• Experience managing contracts post-award.


• Knowledge of sustainability, ethical sourcing, and social value principles.


• Risk management and governance experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of commercial and procurement operations.


• Ability to review, interpret, and assess documentation and policies.


• Experience in regulated or complex environments.
