Commercial Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Commercial Manager to drive business growth and strengthen the organization’s commercial performance. In this role, you will lead business development activities, manage key client and partner relationships, and identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability. You will play a central role in developing effective sales strategies, managing costs, overseeing commercial agreements, and supporting long\-term business objectives. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach will be essential to achieving sustainable growth and delivering strong commercial results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies that support company objectives, increase revenue, and improve profitability.
- Lead negotiations with clients, suppliers, and business partners to achieve commercially beneficial terms while maintaining positive relationships.
- Manage contracts and commercial agreements, ensuring appropriate compliance, risk management, and value delivery.
- Monitor market developments, industry trends, and competitor activity to identify business opportunities and potential commercial risks.
- Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost management to support the achievement of business targets.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and other departments to coordinate and deliver business growth initiatives.
- Lead, support, and develop the commercial team, promoting accountability, collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement.
- Review commercial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial and market analysis.
- Proven experience in a senior commercial, business development, or related management position.
- Strong understanding of cost management, financial analysis, and commercial performance.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills, with experience securing and managing significant business agreements.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate market information and make informed commercial decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at different levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline; relevant professional or advanced qualifications would be advantageous.
