Join Exyte as a Commercial Manager and take full ownership of the commercial and financial performance of a large\-scale, complex data center construction project. You will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery within budget, driving profitability, and managing contractual and commercial risks.
In this position, you will lead commercial activities across the entire project lifecycle, working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in a fast\-paced, high\-value environment.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of large\-scale construction projects, ensuring delivery within budget and maximized profitability
- Prepare cost forecasts, cost\-to\-complete analyses, and monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs)
- Monitor project expenditures and implement robust cost control measures
- Manage contract administration (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, JCT or similar) and ensure contractual compliance
- Oversee change management processes, including pricing, negotiation, and agreement of variations
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks, claims, and disputes
- Manage procurement of major equipment and subcontract packages (MEP CSA)
- Lead subcontractor tendering, evaluation, contract award, and commercial follow\-up
- Review and approve interim payments and final accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial project team
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Commercial Management, Finance or similar
- Extensive professional experience (approx. 8–10 years) in commercial management within large\-scale construction projects
- Strong background in fast\-track environments such as data centers, life sciences, pharmaceutical or semiconductor facilities
- Deep technical understanding of MEP systems and infrastructure procurement
- Proven expertise in managing complex construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, JCT)
- Strong analytical and financial management skills with a focus on cost control and profitability
- Experience in leading teams and managing stakeholders across multiple interfaces
- Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP and commercial/project management tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem\-solving skills
- Fluency in French (min. C1\) and English (min. B2\)
