Location: London (In and around the M25\)
Reporting To: Commercial Operations Supervisor/Head of Commercial Service \& Maintenance
Package: £50,000 \- £60,000 per annum (Subject to experience) \+ Overtime
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and self\-motivated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our dynamic operations team. In this role, you will deliver high\-quality service, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault finding, and breakdown repairs on a variety of commercial heating systems and plant room equipment.
Our diverse portfolio spans social housing, supported living, schools, offices, and hospitals. Due to the nature of these environments, an enhanced DBS check will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance \& Repair: Execute routine servicing, PPM tasks, and complex fault finding on commercial boilers, water/air heaters, and plant room ancillary equipment.
- Diagnostics \& Commissioning: Diagnose system breakdowns efficiently and commission newly installed or repaired equipment to industry standards.
- Installation Work: Undertake minor installation and remedial works as required.
- Safety \& Compliance: Work strictly in line with strict Health and Safety procedures, actively identifying and mitigating site risks and hazards.
- Reporting: Produce accurate, detailed digital reports on all works completed.
- On\-Call Rotation: Participate in a 1\-in\-6 out\-of\-hours call\-out rota.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
- Certifications: Valid commercial gas safety tickets, including:
- CODNCO1 or COCN1
- TPCP1A, ICPN1, CDGA1, CIGA 1
- Technical Knowledge: Strong, demonstrable understanding of commercial plant equipment.
- Licence: Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- Punctual, reliable, and highly self\-motivated.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A proactive, "first\-fix" mentality to minimize client downtime.
