Commercial Finance Analyst

Think Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a genuinely impressive and rapidly growing business in North Bristol to recruit a Finance Analyst to join their expanding finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop further within financial analysis and reporting, particularly someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and building meaningful financial insight.

Working closely with the Financial Controller and CFO, the role will combine financial analysis with supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, whilst also playing a key part in maintaining and improving complex Excel-based reporting models.

This role offers hybrid working, with just 1 day per week in the office.

The Role • Analysing financial data and producing meaningful insight to support business decision-making

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts


• Maintaining, refining and improving complex Excel models and reporting tools


• Working with large datasets, data manipulation and financial reporting


• Assisting with month-end processes including journals, accruals and reconciliations


• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and streamline reporting


• Providing ad-hoc analysis and support to the wider finance team

About You • Experience supporting the preparation of management accounts

• Strong analytical skills, either gained within industry or practice


• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, large datasets and financial modelling


• Someone genuinely interested in financial analysis and reporting


• Ideally studying towards AAT / ACCA / CIMA, although this isn't essential


• Motivated, proactive and keen to continue developing professionally


• Someone who enjoys working as part of a collaborative and upbeat team environment
