Commercial Executive

Reporting to: Commercial Director

Wye Valley Skips is looking for a sharp, commercially minded Commercial Executive to help drive growth across skip hire, waste collection, recycling, hazardous waste and environmental services.

This is a hands\-on commercial role in a fast\-moving business. You will be close to the customers, close to the operation, and close to the decisions that move the business forward.

We are looking for someone who can win new work, grow existing accounts, handle enquiries properly, and turn opportunities into profitable business.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Winning new business across commercial, industrial and construction sectors

  • Developing and growing existing customer accounts

  • Handling inbound enquiries by phone, email and online channels

  • Preparing quotes, proposals and service agreements

  • Attending customer meetings and site visits

  • Negotiating pricing, contract terms and service requirements

  • Identifying opportunities across skip hire, waste collection, recycling, hazardous waste and environmental services

  • Working with operations, transport, compliance and finance to make sure customers receive the right service

  • Supporting hazardous waste enquiries and ensuring the correct information and documentation is captured

  • Monitoring customer performance, retention and profitability
What We’re Looking For

You will need to be commercially sharp, organised and confident dealing with customers.

You should have:

  • Experience in B2B sales, business development or account management

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • The confidence to speak with customers face to face, by phone and by email

  • The ability to spot opportunities and follow them through

  • Good attention to detail when preparing quotes and customer information

  • A practical, customer\-focused approach

  • A full UK driving licence
Experience in waste management, recycling, environmental services, logistics, construction, aggregates or industrial sectors would be an advantage, but attitude, drive and commercial ability matter most.
